Hey folks! I’m starting a new series of semi-regular updates where I will tell you about the book I’m currently reading, the next couple of books on my TBR, and individual books or series I’ve recently read that I highly recommend.

While I am still keeping up with my regular book reviews, I do not have time to review every single book I finish. I read a lot, and between finishing my BA and beginning my MFA, as well as my regular life commitments, it’s simply not feasible to put that much extra pressure on myself. So, certain books/series I come across that I absolutely love will be recommended in Reading List posts to free up more time for myself.

Although I am a writer, the goal is to not turn reading into a chore. I primarily read for enjoyment and to help me improve my craft – I don’t pick up a book because I want to make a career out of book reviews. I write my reviews to help others find their next read or decide about a book they’re uncertain about. The Reading List posts are a simplified version of what I already do, with the added preview of books that might be reviewed in the future.
